Welcome Again to Granny Camp 4 Me

Welcome Again to Granny Camp 4 Me !

As I promised, today I am posting a couple copies of “The List”. [If you do not know what I mean by “The List” please go to my previous post and you’ll know what it is and how it originated.] Now, when you see “The List”, I do hope you will not be disappointed, as I may have built it up a bit much. But to tell you the truth, it is a “bit much” to our little clan.

Here you will see two scanned copies of actual “List”s. You may see them as quite imperfect and a good bit messy. Please keep in mind, they were created for personal use, and usually in a rush. The extra marks, drawings and blackened circles, etc. were the additions of little hands with big creative minds filled with lots of excitement. The blackening-in of circles bothered me at first, but then it occurred to me that this gave such great joy to the blackening-in-er that I just let it go and decided to rather enjoy the process. Please note that I have omitted the names of the children, which means that I should tell you that at the top of each “List”, the heading is always: “Things to do with _______ and ________...:” And usually I include the date---- after a few experiences of looking back at “Lists” and trying to recall exactly when they took place, it occurred to me that this would be a good idea. So, hey, maybe you will begin to do your own version of “The List” for the little guys in you life. If you do, I would love to hear about it.

At the end of today’s post, I am including the recipe for the Pumpkin Muffins, mentioned in the October 2007 “List”. You will notice that the recipe is called “Pumpkin Loaf”, which is how I originally got it, but it works great to use in a muffin pan or small novelty shaped pans, as well. Also, I would like to tell you that I alter the recipe a little by replacing ½ cup of flour with ½ cup whole wheat flour. And the original recipe called for 1 cup of sugar, which I reduce to ¾ cup of sugar. Let me know if you try ‘em and what you think.
